Edmund’s Constitutional Concerns

Writing during a time of economic instability in 1933, Edmunds proposes that the full intent of the U. S. Constitution was to place limitations on the federal government, so as to avoid oppression of the people.  While he writes forthrightly about the encroachment of federal programs into areas not specifically within constitutional design, his concern lies with adherence (or lack of adherence) to the intent and purpose of the founding fathers – that of ensuring freedom and liberty for the people of the Unites States of America.
